Are E-cloths safe? was created by Becki Fahs
Prior to find the MomsAware website, I had purchased some E-cloths (cloth with silver woven into the fibers that are reported as being very safe and effective.) I use them with only water, no harmful chemicals are used, and they are washed in just hot water. I am wondering if it is okay to keep using them, as I am committing to live as toxin-free as I can manage. Thanks so much for your help.

This is a great question! I have not researched this....but sure they sure seem fine to me! Definitely much much better than cleaning with all the chemicals!!!!

Depending on how you look at the word "safe"
I look at things from the "cradle to the grave" view
The Cradle - These cloths are man-made petroleum based products made of polymide and polyester. (non-renewable resources)
The LIfe - The only thing the "silver" does is stop bacteria from growing on the cloth (hot soapy water will do the same)...it has nothing do with the cleaning process
The Grave - polymide and polyester do not break down and even though some companies tell you to return so that they may recycle you come back to the cradle
