kefir and cream for the face was created by Marilyn Riley
I had purchased some Kefir from a local health food store and mixed it with heavy cream. It left my face with a very dry film. I realize now I should have purchased on line and it would be the real deal. I just received my shipment from Yeemos and am ready to try it again. So if I understand I use the grains that I have received and add it directly to the cream, is that correct?
I am liking everything that I have tried thus far.
I am thinking of making the laundry soap for my son , what kind of container do you use?
They 3 children and lots of laundry.
Thank you,
Marilyn Riley

I have a stainless steel "bin" with a plastic top. You can add the grains but they get stuck (which is OK)...but I've had better results with making cow's milk kefir and innoculating the cream with 1/4 cup of the kefir. This would be adding 1/4 cup kefir to two cups cream. Allow to ferment for 24 hours at least.
Does this make sense? It's hard to explain

I also have a question regarding the Kefir cream. After it is made, does it have to be refrigerated? And how long is the shelf life?
In addition a friend recommended "Crystal" (deoderant) at the local Whole Foods Market. It is Ammonium Alum (mineral salts). Hers has lasted 2 years so far! And it was only $2.00. It's been over a month now and I have been very pleased.

Great to know about the mineral salts!
Yes, you need to refrigerate the kefir...it should last several months.

I use the Crystal brand mineral deodorant stick. It works very well and I love the already natural no whites on my clothes
