Kristina Townsend

Kristina TownsendVP Sales & Marketing /

Community Relations

Kristina suffered an acute exposure to toxic mold in 2007 while working on location for a major U.S. retailer in the Virgin Islands. She experienced her first mini-stroke three weeks after moving into a condominium that had been condemned two years prior to her stay. Kristina suffered brain damage and numerous physical complications, as did her young daughter due to subsequent cross-contamination. In a landmark case in 2009, Kristina was granted Social Security Disability for her mold-related injuries. After undergoing an intense treatment regimen including brain rehabilitation, OT, PT, and speech therapy, she now advocates for those injured by indoor air contaminates, fulfilling her passion to help raise awareness and educate others on the subject of environmental health.
